Grandma Carlene's Almond Frosting

I'm making Birthday Cake tonight, so I thought while I'm at it, I'd share my DH's grandmother's recipe.  In this camily it's the ONLY Icing to be used!

1 Cup Shortening

1 Bag Powdered Sugar

2/3 C Milk

Pinch of Salt

Cap and 1/2 of Almond Extract (1 tsp measured out Lol)

Mix together everything but the until smooth.  Add Sugar slowly.  Beat approx 3-5 minutes until fluffy.  Will Cover 2 9in Round layers (2 inches thick)  Can also be used for decorating.
